Festive red flowers bloom in pretty procession across lacy, white panels bordered in rich forest green in this bright and beautiful throw. It works up quickly with double-strand yarn and large hook.

- Medium (worsted) weight yarn:
35 oz/1,750 yds/992g red 18 oz/900 yds/510g white 3 oz/150 yds/85g each green and yellow - Size P/15/10mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Gauge
With 2 strands yarn held tog: rnds 1-2 = 4 inches in diameter; 3 dc = 2 inches; 2 dc rows = 3 inches
Pattern Note
Hold 2 strands same-color yarn together throughout.
Special Stitches
Picot: Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook.
Popcorn (pc): 5 dc in next sc, drop lp from hook, insert hook in top of first dc, pull dropped lp through.

Rnd 1: With 2 strands of yellow held tog as 1 (see Pattern Note), ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st in beg sc. Fasten
off. (8 sc)
Rnd 2: Join red with sl st in any st, ch 3, 4 dc in same st, drop lp from hook, insert hook in top of ch-3, pull dropped lp through (beg
pc completed), ch 2, pc (see Special Stitches) in next st, ch 2, (pc, ch 2) in each st around, join with sl st in top of beg
pc. Fasten off. (8 pc)
Rnd 3: Join green with sl st in any ch-2 sp, ch 1, (sc, picot--see Special Stitches, sc) in same ch-2 sp, *sc in
top of next pc, (sc, picot, sc) in next ch-2 sp, rep from * around, sc in last pc, join with sl st in beg sc. Fasten off. (24 sc, 8 picots)
Rnd 4: Working behind picots, join white with sc in first sc after any picot, sc in each of next 2 sc, ch 1, [sc in each of next 3 sc, ch 1]
around, join with sl st in beg sc.
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in first st, [ch 3, sk next st or ch, sc in next st] around, ch 1, join with dc in first sc forming last ch sp. (16
ch-sps)

1: Working across 1 long edge of 1 Side Strip, join red with sl st in bottom right corner sp, ch 3, dc in same ch sp, 2 dc in each ch sp across
ending with 2 dc in corner ch sp at end of Side Strip, turn.
Rows 2-7: Ch 3, dc in each dc across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.
Beg at top left corner ch sp and working across rem long edge of Side Strip, rep rows 1-7.
Assembly
To join Side Strips, hold Strips WS tog, matching sts, join red with sl st in first st on first Side, sl st in first st on 2nd Side, [sl st in next st on
first Side, sl st in next st on 2nd Side] across. Fasten off.
Border
Rnd 1: Working around outer edge, join red with sc in first st of last Edging row on either Side, 2 sc in same st, sc around all edges,
working 2 sc in end of each dc row, 2 sc in each ch sp of Blocks, sc in each dc along sides and 3 sc in each corner, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
Note: On next rnd, it may be necessary to sk 1 more or fewer sts than indicated before corners to place (sc, ch 3, sc) in center st of
each corner.
Rnd 2: Join yellow with sc in center sc at any corner, ch 3, sc in same corner, [ch 2, sk next 2 sts, sc in next st] around with (sc, ch 3,
sc) in center st of each corner, join with sl st in beg sc. Fasten off.
Rnd 3: Join red in sl st in first corner ch-3 sp, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 4 dc in same ch sp, 3 dc in each ch-2 sp around with 5
dc in each corner, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Fasten off.
Rnd 4: Join green with sl st in 3rd dc of 5-dc group at any corner, (ch 4, dc, ch 1, dc) in same st, *ch 1, sk next 2 sts, sc in next sp
